I am in Helsinki, Finland and I am working on a project with a dancer, a lighting designer and a cellist. One idea we have developed requires an Xbox Kinect and needs a custom piece of software developed. There are a number of examples out there.

Another way of making it happen is with the TUIO Flash solution. Its great because it leverages the TUIO multitouch and gesture framework API which takes care of all the complex features.
